On December 17, 2013, the authorized representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Ural Federal District, Igor Kholmanskikh, and the Governor of Sverdlovsk region, Evgeny Kuyvashev, visited the “Titanium Valley SEZ” site.
The visitors were informed about key parameters of the project and progress towards its realization.
On the site of the special economic zone, the Head of the region held a meeting dedicated to the integrated social and economic development of the Verhne-saldinsky urban district and formation of the “Titanium Valley” SEZ.
The discussion covered coordination of the special economic zone development plans and mechanisms with implementation of important social projects in Verkhnaya Salda, including the construction of residential buildings, welfare facilities, municipal employment and vocational training programs.
"I think that the municipal programs of Verkhnaya Salda development should be very closely connected with the “Titanium Valley” growth rates, therefore we need to create conditions for considerable escalation of housing construction, modernize municipal services, and solve the problem of recycling of solid household waste disposal", said Evgeny Kuyvashev.
“Even now we can foresee that in the next few years we will face an acute personnel problem: new production sites will need qualified specialists.
"We will have to substantially improve road infrastructure, provide construction of motor roads around Verkhnaya Salda and Nizhni Tagil. That is, it will be necessary to develop such a comprehensive plan, the realization of whose strengths, benefits and prospects for development of the urban district and of “Titanium Valley” would not work against each other", the governor commented.
