RF Minister of Economic Development Andrey Belousov became the guest of the Sverdlovsk Region’s booth during his visitation of the event’s key participants. He was welcomed by Deputy Chairman of the Sverdlovsk Region Government Alexey Orlov and by General Director of Titanium Valley SEZ OJSC Artemiy Kyzlasov.
During the meeting the parties discussed the region’s development prospects. In particular, Alexey Orlov elaborated on the plans for development of Bogoslovsky Industrial Park. Besides that, the Minister inquired about the further plans of the Titanium Valley Special Economic Zone managing company. During the conversation Mr. Belousov showed his awareness of the SEZ project fulfillment progress, which is one of the main investment projects in the Urals Region, and particularly dwelled on the importance of procurement of funding from Sberbank. Artemiy Kyzlasov filled the Minister in on the industrial site infrastructure development progress, plans to start up the first enterprises already by the end of the current year and on the steps that are being taken toward procurement of Federal funding.
Meeting with Viktor Neuwirt, the advisor to SMS Meer GmbH, Project Management, was an important part of the day. These negotiations were not the first ones for the management of the machine building industry leader. The company is already aware of the advantages offered by the Urals industrial site. The subject of this round of negotiations was opening of a service center at Titanium Valley SEZ and setting of manufacture of components for equipment installed at the Sverdlovsk Region and Urals Federal District enterprises. Besides, the German party is interested in joint programs in such areas as education, personnel training and research.
Cooperation and establishing of business connections with Titanium Valley SEZ was also interesting to the Florida Industrial Park. Artemiy Kyzlasov had a meeting with John Thomas, Assistant to Vice President for Economic Development and Public Relations, during which the parties discussed the possibilities for exchange of experience.

The Institute has well-established connections with NASA and is situated near the Kennedy Space Center and Florida Tech Research Park, the headquarters for hundreds of the most famous IT and high technology companies. Such companies as Embraer, Rockwell Collins and General Electric are among the Tech Research Park residents performing production, research and development activities as well as professional training programs.
