Presentation of the Sverdlovsk Region’s investment potential to foreign industrialists took place yesterday at the Hannover Messe 2013 International Industrial Fair. Deputy Chairman of the Sverdlovsk Region Government Alexey Orlov told the attendees about the efficient socio-economic development of the territory, interest of the regional authorities in attraction of foreign investors and assurance of all-round support for foreign businesses willing to open production facilities on the Urals sites.
“Support from the regional authorities is the key investment security factor influencing the positive decisions concerning location of enterprises in the Sverdlovsk Region”, Alexey Orlov commented, “Participation in the largest foreign exhibitions makes it possible for us to tell about the Sverdlovsk Region to a large number of interested industrialists viewing Russia as a potential partner”.
After that Vladislav Pinaev, Minister of Industry and Science of the Sverdlovsk Region took the floor. He made a presentation of the region’s investment and economic potential.
Presentation of opportunities opened by Titanium Valley Special Economic Zone to the European companies was held by the General Director of Titanium Valley SEZ OJSC as an example of interest expressed by the regional authorities in involvement of foreign capital in the Urals projects. In addition to preferences typical of such territories, the Titanium Valley managing company guarantees its residents additional tax benefits and shortest possible time of construction permits procurement, which became possible thanks to attention paid by the region’s Governor Evgeny Kuivashev to development of the project.
Other speakers included Andreas Neuman, Head of the Russia and CIS Department of the German Ministry of Economy and Technology, and Andrey Gross, representative of Deutsche Messe AG.
