Director General of ‘Titanium Valley SEZ’ OJSC Artemy Kyzlasov and the General Consul of Germany in Yekaterinburg Andreas Klassen have discussed topical economic partnership matters between the Russian Federation and Federal Republic of Germany.
A. Kyzlasov spoke about the possibilities and current stage of development of the special economic zone. Andreas Klassen noted that a number of German companies, primarily machine-building ones, are already familiar with ‘Titanium Valley’, and are considering the possibilities of participating in the project after the main infrastructure items have been put into operation.
According to Artemy Kyzlasov, mechanical engineering is a segment with excellent prospects. Many enterprises in the Urals region already use industrial equipment made in Germany. However, its maintenance and transportation of spare parts require additional investment of time and money. The possibilities offered by the special economic zone will help solve this problem. Organization of production at the ‘Titanium Valley’ site, the special preferential status of the economic zone, the active sales market and availability of a qualified labor force will promote the rapid start-up of such an enterprise.
