The project aimed at creation of the Titanium Cluster on the territory of the Titanium Valley SEZ site is gaining strength. Now the project has a reliable foreign partner, Aerospace Initiative Saxony (ASIS) representing the interests of aircraft and space industry of Saxony and Thuringia (Germany).
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Titanium Cluster and ASIS was signed on 9 April in the presence of Deputy Chairman of the Sverdlovsk Region Government Alexey Orlov. On behalf of the Titanium Cluster the agreement was signed by Artemiy Kyzlasov, General Director of Titanium Valley SEZ OJSC. On behalf of the German partner it was signed by Michael Muth, Managing Director of ASIS.
“Signing of such an agreement is a very important step in development of the Titanium Cluster project”, Artemiy Kyzlasov commented, “For us this cooperation opens the prospects for gaining access to the aircraft industry leaders, to those whose primary interest is participation in the projects related to titanium”.
It is already known that ASIS is planning to offer to the Titanium Cluster its developments related to serial production at a joint venture located in the SEZ. The agreement was signed for the purpose of strategic partnership development within the framework of aviation industry technology development and management. The maximum result will be obtained during streamlining of the technology transfer process and cooperation with the aircraft and aerospace industry, which was also agreed on.
