Industrial production starts in SEZ "Titanium Valley" in 2018 - 3 residents will launch production of finished goods.
“Zibus” will start producing titanium implants and medical tools for neurosurgical operations in the first half of 2018. The company invested 136 million rubles, having the project realized in 1.5 years. Now the resident is at the final stage: equipment from France was delivered to "Titanium Valley" on 27 of December. Commissioning will continue during first months of 2018.
"The project is relatively small: total area of production is 600 sq. m. However, it has a great socio-economic importance not only for the region, but also for the country as a whole. Today share of import of neurosurgical instrument and implants exceeds 90%. By 2020, “Zibus” intends to gain a fifth part of the Russian market's needs", said Artemiy Kyzlasov.
Ural Boeing Manufacturing, a joint venture of “VSMPO-AVISMA” and Boeing, will start working in "Titanium Valley” in the second half of next year. Volume of investments is 5.5 billion rubles. Production complex with area of 19.5 thousand sq. m. was commissioned in summer of 2017. In autumn, the resident began to import high-tech machining complexes from Japan and United States.
Production of cutting tools for milling hard-to-work materials will start in "Titanium Valley" at the end of next year. Resident "Tooling production Minicut" began preparatory works on the site. Volume of investments is 123.5 million rubles. The resident will ship products to “VSMPO-AVISMA”, Ural Boeing Manufacturing, enterprises of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Holding Company “Helicopters of Russia” and others. As previously reported, co-investor of the project is South Korean corporation YG-1, one of the largest manufacturers of cutting tools in the world.
"With launch of industrial production, the first stage of SEZ "Titanium Valley" will become a full-fledged investment project. In 2018, management company will change priorities in development of Verkhnaya Salda platform - from construction to filling vacant land plots by residents.
