PJSC “United Aircraft Corporation” and special economic zone “Titanium Valley” have signed an agreement on creation of a center for mechanical processing of titanium alloys products.
The document was signed by UAC President Yuriy Slyusar and CEO of SEZ "Titanium Valley" Artemiy Kyzlasov.
Mechanical processing center will help to increase quality and quantity of titanium processing operations in Verkhnyaya Salda. Thanks to it, Russian aircraft builders will have an opportunity to reduce net cost of products.
"Creation of new Russian aircrafts is associated with increasing share of implementation of promising materials. Usage of titanium alloys in aircraft design will increase in the same pace with development of aircraft construction industry”
, said President of United Aircraft Corporation Yuriy Slyusar
"Idea to create united center for titanium stampings machining near VSMPO-AVISMA came up even before creation of the SEZ. After completion of “Titanium Valley” construction, the best place for such a center is obvious. United center of mechanical processing will allow processing of details not only for one consumer (as in case of “Ural Boeing Manufacturing”), but for a whole pool of aircraft builders, primarily Russian ones"
, said Artemiy Kyzlasov
, CEO of SEZ "Titanium Valley".
Parties will work to create capacities for roughing, semi-finished, and, in future, finishing machining of details from titanium alloys in "Titanium Valley". Earlier, management of the SEZ announced launch of similar projects with Russian aircraft builders "Russian Helicopters" and "Technodinamika".
